Goddess Paintings

 Figurative work for me is an inner, almost spiritual journey. Symbols, mystical meanings and mythology inspire me. Working on canvas, paper or finely gessoed panels using old master's techniques allows me to explore different ways of painting. Tempera on board gives an amazing glow with the application of layer upon layer of fine glazes. Canvas gives a different result.  Paper has a direct, unique quality that I love .My paintings are often done in groups. Some fit together to create large wall sized compositions. They can be assembled and reassembled in different sizes.or stand alone.

The Goddesses range from 30 to 60 inches high. Some are triptychs, comprised of three paintings. The smaller pieces are portraits and are from 11 by 14 wooden panels or 24 by 24 inch paintings on canvas or board.

The paintings are also available for sale as prints printed on canvas in small limited editions. The canvas prints are overpainted and gilded making each a unique original.
