Sculpture

Mythology has been a constant source of inspiration to me and I love reinterpreting classical concepts and reinterpreting them. This  series of Winged Bronzes, I see as messengers. They were created between 2000 and 2017. Some are still being completed and the series is ongoing.Pieces are cast and then welded together, making a unique sculpture that can not be reproduced. There is no mould. Cast from wax originals that disappear in the lost wax process, each is a unique cast. 

The deconstructed, welded and carefully polished pieces finally come together through these various processes to become a gleaming, richly textured and powerful sculpture with a tangible energy.

The basreliefs are on wooden board. Sculptures range in size from small to larger than life.
